Corrections Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Finylo is committed to correcting material errors promptly, clearly and proportionately.

What we correct

We review reports of incorrect facts, figures, dates, names, quotations, calculations, links, captions and materially misleading context. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes may be corrected without a formal note when they do not alter the meaning of the article.

How to request a correction

Use the Contact page and provide:

  • The exact article URL
  • The statement you believe is incorrect
  • The reason it is incorrect
  • A reliable supporting source, where available

Our review process

We compare the disputed information with primary or authoritative sources and review the context in which it appears. We may contact the person submitting the correction for clarification. A correction request does not guarantee that the article will be changed.

How corrections are displayed

When a material factual error is confirmed, the article will be updated and a correction or update note may be added explaining what changed. The article's updated date should also reflect the revision. We do not silently change the meaning of an article.

Developing stories

Markets, regulations, company announcements and technology releases can change quickly. Adding newly confirmed information to a developing story is treated as an update rather than a correction unless the earlier version contained an error.

Opinions and forecasts

A disagreement with analysis or opinion is not automatically a factual error. However, opinions must be based on accurately represented facts, and forecasts must be clearly identified as uncertain.

Removal requests

Complete articles are not normally removed merely because a person or company disagrees with accurate coverage. We will consider removal or anonymisation where required by law, necessary to prevent serious harm, or justified by exceptional privacy or safety circumstances.

Contact

Correction requests can be submitted through the Finylo Contact page.
